GOLD COAST TURF CLUB LAUNCHES NEW BREED PARTY PRECINCT

THE Gold Coast Turf Club has unveiled its new-look trackside entertainment precinct to lure partiers and punters through the gates on Derby Day.

RACELANDIA will combine fashion, culture and entertainment as part of the Spring Racing Carnival social calendar.

The nation's top female DJs including Betty Who, Havana Brown, Mandy Onassis, Just Jessie, Georgie Baby and Sarah Wilkinson are set to perform on the Red Bull Sound Stage in the evening.

The air-conditioned indoor and outdoor precinct will feature a range of pop-up cocktail bars and food trucks, while the event will be broadcast on giant TV screens.

Gold Coast Turf Club marketing and commercial manager Lisa Lees says RACELANDIA is new breed of entertainment for the venue.

"This is a brand new concept for us and we're really hoping it will become a permanent fixture," Lees says.

"We're introducing new elements including a silent disco, live entertainment, and bringing fashion, art and music to the fore."

Hospitality packages start from $69. RACELANDIA takes place on Saturday 29 October.
