NIGHTOWL FLIES INTO BRISBANE CBD

CONVENIENCE chain NightOwl has announced the opening of a new store in Brisbane's CBD, as part of its 'store of the future' strategy.

The Adelaide Street store which celebrated its grand opening this week, features a new layout, improved product and service offering and increased digital presence.

Conceived as a response to the fast-paced nature of the convenience industry, the 'store of the future' strategy is designed to provide customers with more options than the usual cold drinks, tobacco and confectionary, according to director of marketing and buying Craig Scarr.

The new store will feature fresh grocery and produce offerings, an in-store café experience, health and beauty section, and LED screens displaying information on promotions and offers.

An on-the-go food service, frozen beverage fun wall and newspaper and magazine offerings also form part of the new approach.

Franchisees Andy and Yutah Hursthouse were enthused by the early success of the store.

"We are just so thankful for the positive response we've had so far and couldn't have asked for a better launch," Andy says.

"The locals have really welcomed our store and we are already getting to know some of the regular shoppers."
