QHA NAMES BEST FOOD AND BEVERAGE EMPLOYEE

MON KOMO Hotel’s functions and events manager has landed an award for Best Food and Beverage Employee at the 2014 Queensland Hotels Association Awards for Excellence.

Amanda Melville (pictured left) was honoured to be named as best in the category in Queensland.

“A team is only as strong as its leader and I hope to encourage everyone I work with to aim as high as they can in their role,” says Melville.

“I look forward to continuing to deliver dynamic and successful functions and events with my team at Mon Komo Hotel and am honoured to receive this award.”

Kyko Group director of hospitality Matt Newberry says Melville is a valued member of the team and an integral part of contributing to Mon Komo’s success.

“Amanda has been a part of our team since 2012 and has created a successful functions and events team, and she is definitely worthy of the award,” Newberry says.

Mon Komo Hotel won the Queensland Hotels Association Award for Best New Hotel in 2012 and Best Marketed Hotel in Queensland in 2013 and 2014.
