SUPERIOR PLANS TO DAZZLE PARTY CROWD IN MONACO

GOLD Coast marina and jetty developer Superior is heading for Monaco to launch its latest product, a unique party platform that is likely to have even the rich and famous climbing aboard to dazzle their friends.

Waterscape is essentially and anchored floating platform designed to take waterfront activities to a new level, and Superior CEO John Hogan is hoping Europeans will take to it like they have to champagne and caviar.

“It’s a great leap forward for waterfront developments,” says Hogan, who designed Waterscape in collaboration with architect Alexander Lotersztain at Derlot.

“Waterscape is visually arresting and innovative in its versatility.

“It adds another dimension to waterfront living and entertaining and we see a myriad of applications for yacht clubs, marina precincts, luxury homes and hotels.

“Anywhere there is a body of still water, Waterscape will extend the usage and enjoyment of the on-water experience.”

Superior, which has its first Waterscape display at the Southport Yacht Club, says the plan to launch it at the exclusive Monaco Yacht Show followed strong interest from marine industry representatives at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

“They said they would love to see this at Monaco,” Hogan says.

“We never viewed it as a show we would attend, but it’s a soft chance for us to check out the market place.

“Monaco has a strong superyacht focus and entertainment seems to go hand in hand with the super yacht community.

“Our customers are anybody who is looking to create waterside dining, entertainment and exclusive areas within a yacht club or waterfront restaurants.”

Superior is attending the Monaco Yacht Show, held in Port Hercule from September 17 to 14, as part of contingent of manufacturers and businesses put together by AIMEX (the Australian International Marine Export Group).

Hogan says after testing the water this year, Superior may set up its own display at Monaco in 2015.

Waterside is considered a world first for the marine industry, known as a commercial and domestic adaptive floating system.

Hogan says it offers an off-the-shelf solution with a “high degree of design that is pleasing”,  yet it can be modified to suit a range of different sites.

Waterside comprises components that clip together and comes into its own as a spectacular night venue with full lighting.

The AIMEX display will be among 115 superyachts and megayachts from 25 to 100 metres at this year’s Monaco show which is expected to attract 500 exhibitors from around the world.

“This is our first time exhibiting in Monaco,” says Hogan. “We manufacture several floatation products that have achieved success internationally and Monaco is the best place to introduce them to the prestige end of the market.”
