Plans for an ‘Adventure HQ’ four times the size of any existing Anaconda store have been unveiled today by the camping and outdoor gear retailer, with the flagship to be located on the Hume Highway in Chullora, Sydney.

The 8,000sqm Anaconda Adventure HQ will feature extended and exclusive product ranges including the introduction of boats, caravans and camper trailers, as well as interactive customer experiences such as a fishing simulator and a 40ft aquarium stocked with Barramundi and Bass for fishing demonstrations.

Anaconda CEO Chris Lude said the new HQ will be unlike “anything seen in Australia” once it opens later this year.

“We know how much Australians love outdoor activities and adventures, so we are proud to evolve the already popular Anaconda experience that tailors for everyone from first-timers to the most experienced outdoor enthusiasts,” Lude said.

“At Anaconda Adventure HQ, customers will be able to purchase and register their boat, caravan, camper trailer at the same time as they purchase outdoor clothing, tents, 4x4 accessories, fishing gear and water sport equipment.

“Everything adventure lovers need will be available under one roof for the first time in Australia.”

The Hume Highway store will be the first in a national roll-out of Anaconda Adventure HQ stores, with a second in Victoria and a third in Queensland already in the works.

Lude said Anaconda’s Adventure HQ highlighted the desire for elevated in-person customer experiences, even in an era when online retail is dominant.

“While many customers love the convenience and ease of online retail, our customers want to see, touch and try products in real life,” Lude said.

“Anaconda Adventure HQ allows them to do this as well as learn about their favourite activities and experience them on the ground in a unique way.”

Anaconda will sell campervans, boats and more for the first time at the Adventure HQ.
