Womenswear label Bec + Bridge is expanding its bricks and mortar store footprint with four new shops to have been opened by the end of November, seeing the brand make its way into Western Australia for the first time.

The brand, founded by Bec Cooper and Bridget Yorsten in 2001, made its WA debut in Karrinyup Shopping Centre on 7 October as part of the centre’s redevelopment.

The Karrinyup store will be one of only two of Bec + Bridge stores to sell the brand’s sought-after Wedding Edit line, in addition to ready-to-wear and accessories.

The label, popular for its sartorial signatures, striking evening wear and party outfits, then opened a new store in Parramatta, New South Wales on Monday, in line with the reopening of retail in the state.

In the pipeline is a shop in the Gold Coast fashion destination Pacific Fair on 15 October, followed by new digs in Claremont Quarter, WA, on 25 November.

Once the new store rollout is complete, the brand will have 11 bricks and mortar stores in total across Australia.

Curated in collaboration with interior architect George Livissianis, the boutiques feature green onyx tabletops and pink terrazzo floors. Custom-made chairs and plush daybeds will adorn the stores which are defined by soft, neutral tones and clean lines.

“We are excited to be growing our retail footprint and open more doors across Australia, including our first in WA,” co-founder and designer Bec Cooper said.

“Retail is an important part of our business and we’re looking forward to building on those direct relationships with our customer.”

Yorsten echoed Cooper’s sentiments and said opening the new boutiques “felt like the next step” for the label.

“These spaces are refined and have a really calming energy and luxury feel to it,” Yorsten said.

“They complement our existing stores and our retail journey to date.”
