After more than a decade working in mining, brothers Zac and Courtney Joyce have signed a major global deal that will see their software platform FitForms rolled out across more than 2,000 fitness studios worldwide.
Founded by brothers Zac and Courtney Joyce, FitForms allows group fitness companies like BFT, ToneLAB and Combine Air to customise forms, automate workflows and manage memberships all in one place.
The software is a subsidiary of the duo’s wider Virtual Spotter group, which runs an admin and back-end operations team for franchise and health and wellness businesses with a team in the Philippines.
To date, FitForms has accumulated more than 400 users on its books, covering markets in the UK, US and locally in Australia.
Speaking with Business News Australia, Courtney Joyce shared what the latest deal means for the company.
“We're getting warm introductions...the solution it solves for the network is a large one for the franchisor," Joyce said.
“We get access to their 2,000 global studios...FitForms is a digital form and waiver product for the group...it will be in all existing and going forward - resales and new locations.”
While the R&D stage involved some trial and error, the company has come out of years of development to optimise efficiencies and bring its development team in-house, with a total of seven full-time software engineers hired.
At this stage, the developers are working on integrating new features, including improved integrations with booking software, instant payment processing, link page builders, and data analytics.
“It's an emerging market. It's growing incredibly fast and the technology isn’t keeping up - a lot of these guys are using older tools to try to do a new job,” Joyce explained.
“If you look at LinkTree, JotForms and Google Forms - some of these have some functionality that FitForms does, but none of them will dive as deep into the niche market of health and wellness like we have. We just want to serve that customer.”
When asked about future plans, Joyce noted the founders are focused on continuing to serve and build their boutique group fitness customers.
“The next opportunity...is any other boutique group fitness. We want to continue more partnerships with other franchisors and offer it to standalone businesses as well - giving them an element of support.”
