AIRTASKER POWERS UP THE GOOD GUYS

AIRTASKER POWERS UP THE GOOD GUYS

AIRTASKER will manage installations for The Good Guys using an Australian-first retail platform.

The Sydney-based services marketplace launched the system in stores last month, to streamline the process for customers and contractors.

Customers can track installation progress, manage updates to the job and access any required certificates once complete, while installers can access information and payments using the app.

Airtasker co-founder and COO Jonathan Lui says the platform will trigger a shift in how retailers manage the after-sales customer experience.

"It will revolutionise their installation services by streamlining the process, enabling fast, accurate bookings with seamless contact between customers and installers," Lui says.

"The Good Guys is really leading the way in terms of post-purchase customer experience and it is great to see them thinking ahead of the curve and embracing this innovation."

Customers purchase installations in-store and choose from a list of available contractors in their area powered by Airtasker. Completed jobs are reviewed as part of a quality assurance process.

The Good Guys chief marketing officer Robert Ambler-Frazer says the platform will set the company apart in the retail sector.

"We are always looking for ways to innovate in terms of the post-purchase experience and partnering with Airtasker to develop this booking portal for our Concierge Home Installation Services has provided us with a unique solution that puts us well ahead of our competitors and makes coordinating services easier and more hassle free for our customers, more efficient for our installer network and more cost-effective for The Good Guys," Ambler-Frazer says.

"We have an existing network of approximately 400 installers. They now have access to more jobs from more stores and our customers have access to more installation services and more choice in terms of installers and contractors."

The partnership also serves as the launch of the Airtasker Ecosystem Partnership program, to leverage the company's expertise in building online marketplaces.
