Business News Australia's Commercial Content policy

Editorial Queries or Complaints

Business News Australia adheres to the principles of fair and balanced reporting, and we pride ourselves on the veracity, relevance and presentation of every story we publish. However, we recognise that there will be differing opinions and perspectives amongst the public regarding any particular article.

We encourage your feedback as it is conducive to improving the quality and accuracy of our news content, especially in instances where an error has been made.

In the first instance all queries and complaints are to be directed to  [email protected] and we will endeavour to respond to all valid emails for corrections within two working days.

Our internal assessment process involves review by senior editorial staff. Depending on the nature of the query or complaint, there may be consultation with authors concerned, and, if necessary, outreach to relevant sources for corroboration or negation of claims made. In most cases, outcomes are determined quickly with any corresponding adjustments, where deemed appropriate, made in a prompt manner.

We must also emphasise that your privacy will be respected throughout this process. We recognise some complaints are of a sensitive nature and we will handle them with due caution.

Once we have completed our investigation, we will provide you with a written response outlining our findings and proposed resolution. We will also explain the reasons for our decision.
