Bod teams up with Chemist Warehouse to distribute medicinal cannabis products

After securing its first prescription approval for MediCabilis in October, Bod (ASX: BDA) has announced a partnership with a leading pharmacy chain to distribute its hero product.

Chemist Warehouse will manage the dispensing of Bod's medicinal cannabis products nationally, starting with its pharma grade CBD oil MediCabilis.

The Cannabis company, which Business News Australia named the 14th largest cannabis company in the country, will also initiate a training program for pharmacists at Chemist Warehouse.

The program will educate participants on all aspects of dispensing MediCabilis to eligible patients, as well as the potential benefits of medicinal cannabis and changes to the regulatory landscape.

Bod Australia CEO Jo Patterson says the deal with Chemist Warehouse is just the start of its rollout of MediCabilis nationally.

"This is an exceptional development for Bod Australia," says Patterson.

"Bod will continue to target additional pharmacy groups and potential distribution partners to drive product uptake."

Shares in Bod are up 16.07 per cent to $0.65 per share at 11.24am AEDT.
