DOMINO'S DEVELOPS NEW TRACKING TECHNOLOGY

DOMINO'S DEVELOPS NEW TRACKING TECHNOLOGY
DOMINO'S Pizza Enterprises (ASX: DMP) is taking its delivery system into the next gear, launching GPS Driver Tracker in Canberra today.

DMP CEO and managing director Don Meij says customers will now be able to track pizza deliveries directly from store to door, and the company will be able to generate unsafe driving behaviour reports in real time.

Meij says the technology, created with a tailored Navman solution, was trialled in 50 stores across Australia, in some for up to 18 months before launch.

These stores experienced a reduction in driver incidents by 50 per cent.

"We've always been a safe business but we're now taking it to the next level and gaining a new level of transparency over our drivers," he says.

"They are out and about making pizza deliveries at all times of the day so it's extremely important for us that the heart of our business, our team members, remain safe at all times."

He says the technology also allows employee-customer engagement to be taken to the next level.

"Our customers will be able to watch their driver on route to their door in real time, know exactly who their driver is by name and even know what music they like and their favourite sport team," says Meij.

The national rollout of GPS Driver Tracker throughout all stores in Australia and New Zealand is Wednesday 1 July 2015.
