EMERALD Lakes Golf Club has boosted membership and increased revenue by 50 per cent over the last 12 months.
The golf club is an integral part of the $1 billion master-planned Emerald Lakes community.
Golf Club general manager Chris Bagley, says increases in paid rounds and social memberships are up by 20 and 25 per cent respectively.
“We’ve even employed another 12 staff members just to cope with the demands of the club’s growth – a growth that is proving to be a really positive sign of its future,” he says.
“While the statistics on activity in gaming has shown a drop of 7 per cent in the Gold Coast region, we are showing an increase of up to 10 per cent.
“All facets of the club have performed extremely well to create an overall highly profitable business, even in a time of financial uncertainty such as what we’ve just gone through.”
Bagley says the club is one of the busiest in Queensland, on par with Brisbane’s Indooroopilly Golf Club.
