A GROWING demand for construction work across South East Queensland has prompted GCB Constructions to invest more than $1 million dollars in an office on the Gold Coast.
GCB Constructions, which is headquartered in Lismore under the Greg Clark Building banner, has purchased an office in Robina Group's $14 million CityPods development.
GCB Constructions and Greg Clark Building director Trent Clark (pictured) says the company had been looking for a quality base on the Gold Coast, after leasing a warehouse in Burleigh at the start of the year as a short term option.
In total, 12 staff will work from the new CityPods office.
"We have been experiencing strong growth in South East Queensland, filling a niche market to build a range of projects from multi-million dollar homes to schools and major commercial developments," says Clark.
"We are in for the long run in Gold Coast City, and will be using the successful model that our business has been built on over more than two decades, focusing on quality work and tapping into a base of repeat subcontractors."
Greg Clark Building was established in Lismore in 1981 and has operated predominately in northern New South Wales. Recent projects include Stanthorpe Hospital, Ocean Shores Tavern and St Joseph's Nursing Home in Lismore.
GCB Constructions will join a mix of small to medium sized business already operating from CityPods, including GC Property Rentals, Airport Consulting Group, Austra Group, AMBS Solutions and Pyramed.
The sale, negotiated by Investment Properties Queensland agent Matthew Steinhour, is the latest in a stream of deals that the Robina Group has secured at CityPods in recent months.
Two dual-level commercial spaces remain for sale and a limited number are available for lease in the precinct, which features a total of 15 stand-alone offices.
Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater says with a limited number of CityPods remaining for sale and lease, businesses interested in securing a position in the precinct should act quickly.
"The design of the stand-alone offices, which range from 163sqm to 304sqm, has really appealed to companies wanting to step straight into a new headquarters while being able to personalise their space to suit their individual needs," he says.
"The open plan, dual level layout with modern finishes and inclusions is ideal for professional businesses wanting a welcoming space for clients and staff.
"CityPods is a unique concept inGold Coast City and demand from small to medium sized businesses has been extremely strong, particularly in recent months as the opportunity to secure a space in the precinct quickly diminishes."
