HOPGOODGANIM INVESTS IN EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE
BRISBANE law firm HopgoodGanim has engaged Australia's largest governance advisory practice, Effective Governance, to complement the firm's traditional practice by providing clients with more than just legal advice.

HopgoodGanim clients will have access to an integrated suite of corporate governance solutions, from board and governance reviews, through to traditional legal and regulatory compliance offerings that already existed under the standalone HopgoodGanim name.

Staff from the Brisbane Effective Governance office will relocate to work side-by-side with HopgoodGanim from 3 July.

HopgoodGanim Managing Partner, Bruce Humphrys, says the investment in Effective Governance is in line with where the legal industry is having to evolve.

"We have been testing the appetite of our clients for non-legal advisory services for several years and the need is strong," says Humphrys.

"Our new multi-disciplinary service offering now allows us to offer our clients a classically complimentary suite of services to enhance the legal solutions we already provide.

"We are proud of our relationship with Effective Governance and confident moving forward."

James Beck, Managing Director of Effective Governance, says the alliance with HopgoodGanim will give clients the best spectrum of advice; both legal and non-legal.

"While some law firms promote they offer governance services, it's often with a legal and compliance lens," says Beck.

"Our offer provides a greater depth of analysis as we assist our clients to implement governance effectively, to add value and enhance the organisation's bottom line."

This partnership is the second HopgoodGanim has made during this financial year, having joined forces with Perth-based specialist projects and resources firm Hunt & Humphrys in May.
