THREE years after being ‘rescued’ from closure Kanga Loaders will move into a new home at Yatala, where it will manufacture an innovative remote controlled loader which is set to be the company’s star performer.
The 1,500sqm fully integrated manufacturing, fabrication and servicing plant is just down the road from the home of its saviour, Digga.
Kanga has signed a three year lease with a further two three-year options should it choose to remain at the premises.
The Kanga TR825 Remote Controlled Loader has been three years in research and development and has played a key role in boosting Kanga Loader’s sales since the Digga takeover.
It can remove material up to 10 times faster than manual labour, reduces the risk of injury and eliminates the need for expensive shutdowns. Some of the world’s largest mining companies have expressed an interested in the loader.
Digga Australia chief executive Suzie Wright says research showed that lost time injuries at mine sites cost an average of $200,000 per incident.
“It’s an invaluable asset to any company seeking to deliver on world best practice risk management,” says Wright.
The loader is used to clean under conveyor belt systems in mining applications for stationary and operating systems, hazardous and confined areas or recovering material with poor access, including drains, tanks and pipes.
