MRWED founder Marc Ratcliffe (pictured) has made the Top 10 list in BRW’s annual best places to work survey.
MARC Ratcliffe was a Brisbane Business News 2010 Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, who founded the MRWED training and assessment organisation in 2000.
It is the third time MRWED has been listed in the Great Place to Work Institute Australia and BRW initiative and the second time in the Top 10, after coming in at No.9 this year.
Ratcliff attributes the accolade to an investment in his International Learning Leaders initiative and a focus on community.
“It’s good to be recognised alongside companies like Google. We pride ourselves on camaraderie, pride in the business and a commitment to the community,” he says.
“People forget about the community in which they work and we offer flexible opportunities for our people to work on individual community projects.”
Google Australia took out the best place to work title, which was measured by how much employees trust their organisation, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.
Other Brisbane finalists include, Austereo, home to Brisbane music stations B105 and Triple M at No. 24; and recruitment and Employment Office, making its debut at No.27.
IT companies were most popular throughout the survey, taking out the top 20 spots in among 50 organisations.
The survey examined 207 companies and responses from 55,400 employees. Other industries well represented were staffing and recruitment, media, advertising and marketing, professional services and financial services and insurance.
