MILLENNIALS visiting the city will soon have another choice in lodging, with the launch of Capri by Fraser Brisbane.
Touted as urban-inspired and design-led, the hotel is set to tap into the e-generation of travellers by offering iPad check-in, e-concierge and free wireless internet access.
Frasers Hospitality selected the River City to be the fourth jewel in its crown and drive its Capri by Fraser brand.
The Singapore-based company, operated by Frasers Centrepoint Group, also owns Fraser Suites Sydney, Fraser Place Melbourne and Fraser Suites Perth.
Frasers Hospitality CEO Choe Peng Sum says the development will cater to an emerging segment in the travel market.
"Millennial travellers today represent 20 per cent of international travellers and are expected to grow rapidly to 320 million by 2020," he says.
"It is for this special group of travellers that we created our intelligent, tech-forward and intuitive hotel residence brand, Capri by Fraser, to help them keep at the top of their game.
"We are thrilled to be bringing the Capri by Fraser brand to Australia following the success we've experienced with our flagship property Capri by Fraser Changi City and particularly in such an outstanding location in inner city Brisbane."
The 239-room property is located in the CBD, within walking distance to Queen Street Mall and Eagle Street Pier.
The company hopes the proximity to Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and Southbank will attract guests attending events and riverside attractions.
Capri by Fraser Brisbane also offers two event spaces, including a boardroom for business meetings and conference facilities for up to 150 people.
Reservations are available for stays commencing from April 1.
Frasers Hospitality's international portfolio consists of 94 properties across 50 cities, including a number of projects in the pipeline.
The company is expected to almost double its apartment inventory from 17,000 to 30,000 in the next five years.
