SOFTWARE SOLUTION TO SHAKE UP REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY

THE launch of new software is set to make life easier for property managers by automating rental payments and maintenance requirements.

Brisbane-based listing service OurTradie developed the software, PM Assistant, to transform the real estate industry.

The platform has already attracted clients including LJ Hooker New Farm and Ray White New Farm in Brisbane, as well as Di Jones Real Estate in Sydney.

OurTradie CEO Damian Hickey says the suite of services available in the program will modernise property management.

"With PM Assistant, we're looking to take the real estate industry into the future with the introduction of online real estate services," Hickey says.

"We've already received a tremendous amount of interest and support from a number of real estate agencies who want to free up staff time so they can grow their businesses and take them to another level.

"This is a program that will help save time, increase productivity and efficiencies and improve customer and staff satisfaction."

PM Assistant automates the maintenance process, from the initial enquiry to reconciliation and payment reducing the processing time from 30 minutes to five minutes and eliminating the need for paper invoices.

The software also automates arrears policy by allowing the user to manage payment reminders and requests via text message and email.

"Agencies have been able to significantly reduce their arrears disputes, property maintenance workload and in turn increase the value of their rent roll," Hickey says.

"Agencies are better able to drive sales and service and build important relationships with landlords and tenants as a result."

The online platform is cloud-based and is compatible for use on a computer, tablet and mobile.

LJ Hooker New Farm principal Brett Greensill says the response from the agency's team has been positive.

"Property maintenance is an area fraught with concern for agencies," Greensill says.

"With PM Assistant, we have seen a noticeable and consistently sustained improvement in our rate of arrears."

OurTradie plans to install a new feature that will streamline property inspections for users in May.

The company is focused on expanding interstate and attracting offshore clients in the long-term.
