Sustainability seminar

 

THE Property Council of Australia is hosting the sustainability seminar ’09 entitled The Carrots and Sticks Approach to Sustainable Property Development. The seminar will provide an update on the current, local, state and federal government incentives and opportunities available for the property industry. Topics will cover:
Incentives
• What are the grant streams available?
• Updates from:

Environmental Protection Agency
• Federal Government


Brisbane City Council
Regulation
• Mandatory disclosure

Where are regulators setting our compliance benchmarks?

What are recent changes to building codes relevant to sustainable development?

What can we expect for Queensland?
Guest speakers on the day include Michael Papageorgiou, divisional manager city planning and sustainability division, Brisbane City Council; Peter Kidby, deputy state manager, AusIndustry Queensland; Glen Brumby, executive director, Building Codes Queensland; Dr John Cole, chief officer, Office of Clear Energy.
The seminar will take place on April 8 from 1pm at The Sebel & Citigate.
