TECHNOLOGYONE BOLSTERS LINK TO GOLD COAST

TECHNOLOGYONE (ASX:TNE) has cemented its ties with the Gold Coast by opening a new office in Bundall.

The city plays host to the Brisbane-based corporate technology provider's annual sales conference, as well as its biennial user conference Evolve.

TechnologyOne also acquired Gold Coast-based ICON Software for $10 million in January, to increase market share in the local government sector.

TNE founder and executive chairman Adrian Di Marco (pictured) says the Bundall office would better support local customers and its growing number of employees.

"Opening our new office is positive news for both our growing Gold Coast team and our customers," Di Marco says.

"It also demonstrates the growth opportunity we see in south east Queensland - having an office on the Gold Coast allows us to better serve our customers in the region.

"This new office reinforces our commitment to being closer to important customers such as Bond University, Careers Australia and Gold Coast Tourism, and also supports the growing IT hub on the Gold Coast."

Di Marco says the expansion will also allow the company to capitalise on its partnership with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC).

TNE will continue to focus on improving ICON's local government e-Planning solution, after working on the tool for a number of years prior to the acquisition.

"One of the other drivers for opening the larger office in Bundall was to accommodate our growing regional workforce," Di Marco says.

"The team we acquired through ICON were based on the Gold Coast and it made sense to keep that team close to their customers.

"ICON's focus on online services for local government has many synergies with TechnologyOne.

"Our focus is on delivering an end-to-end solution and a single point of accountability for all TechnologyOne customers."

Planning for Evolve 2016 is underway and will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
