THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR TRADE SECRET
THE opening of the new Helensvale branch of Trade Secret marks the expansion of one of Australia’s chief outlet retailers’ on home soil.

In recent years the iconic franchise has undergone rapid expansion, transforming what began as a single store in Southport into a booming business spanning the breadth of the country.

The company’s executive department says the launch of the new Helensvale outlet is instrumental to continued growth in the south-east region of the state.

“The Gold Coast is one of our strongest and top regional markets in the country,” says marketing manager Tessa Buenen.

“The south-east corner of Queensland is our homeland, where we hope to keep developing in the future.”

Trade Secret, part of the Gazal Corporation stable, has been a pioneer of Australian off-price retail for more than two decades.

Since Trade Secret opened its first store on the Gold Coast in 1992, the company has grown to employ more than 1000 people across Australia.

It has 150 staff working within the Gold Coast region alone.

General manager of stores and operations Matthew Mackenzie says the new opening is a landmark for the brand’s continued expansion.

“It’s been a busy journey for Trade Secret over the years and we’re really excited to be strengthening our presence in the Gold Coast community with the launch of the Helensvale store,” says Mackenzie.

“We could never have predicted the Trade Secret brand would have become so popular and well-known nationally, so to be opening another store back where we started is a really special milestone.”

Trade Secret Helensvale, located at the Homeworld centre, will be the 33rd Trade Secret store Gazal has opened in Australia.
