Althea hits a new personal best in August

Medicinal cannabis company Althea (ASX: AGH) has broken its own records during August, with more patients than ever now receiving the company's pharmaceuticals.

The company saw 392 patients prescribed Althea products during August, at a rate of 18 patients per business day, representing the largest number of new patients to be prescribed Althea products in a single month.

This means 1,926 patients have now been prescribed Althea medicinal cannabis products in Australia, with 296 doctors actively prescribing the company's product.

"Althea is demonstrating that the medicinal cannabis industry in Australia has enormous potential - especially with the support of the medical community which continues to gain momentum," says Althea CEO Josh Fegan.

"Althea is focussed on medical education and this is proving that by working closely with healthcare professionals, medicinal cannabis can reach an ever-increasing number of patients."
