Jupiters cleans up hotel awards

ONE of the Gold Coast’s most popular corporate events and functions venues has taken out four major wins at the 2009 Queensland Hotel Association Awards.

Conrad Jupiters is celebrating the huge award haul after claiming victory in all four categories it was named finalist.

The hotel-casino won Most Outstanding Community Service and Achievement, Best Restaurant – Accommodation Division, Best Deluxe Hotel Accommodation and Workplace Health and Safety.

The wins mark the second consecutive year Conrad Jupiters has been named the Queensland leader in the Workplace Health and Safety category and the 22nd award win for Zen in the past nine years.

Each category was judged on a written submission with successful site visits in the Best Restaurant – Accommodation Division and Best Deluxe Hotel Accommodation stakes.

Managing director Stuart Wing says the result was an outstanding achievement that demonstrates not only the quality of the product the property provides but most importantly the quality of the team, the service they provide, and their commitment to the community.

“To be judged by the peak association of our industry and named best in the state is such an honour,” he says.

“Conrad Jupiters is riding an exciting wave of rejuvenation and development, and we are committed to delivering a world-class experience for our guests every time.

“Congratulations and thanks to all Conrad Jupiters team members for their dedication and enthusiasm in the last 12 months and for continuing to set the benchmark in what is an increasingly competitive industry.”

The awards follow other recent wins at the 2009 Restaurant and Catering Gold Coast Awards where Conrad Jupiters took home accolades for Best Event Caterer, Best Chinese Restaurant for Zen and Best Hotel/Motel Restaurant for Andiamo.

Conrad Jupiters will go on to compete in both the Restaurant and Catering Queensland Awards and the Australian Hotel Association Awards in coming months.
