MOSAIC BREAKS GROUND AT HAVENWOOD

MOSAIC Property Group has started construction on a collection of townhomes at McDowall in a bid to snare Brisbane's owner occupier market.

Havenwood will comprise 22 three-bedroom residences on Ponti Street and is expected to be completed in April next year.

Mosaic Property Group managing director Brook Monahan says the development's modern design would appeal to local buyers.

"We have found that there is huge demand from end users for affordable homes in sought after suburbs on the city's fringe," Monahan says.

"McDowall is an established and affluent area with parks, schools, shops and numerous public transport options just 12km from the CBD.

"Residents have proximity to the city while enjoying the lifestyle benefits and conveniences of a highly desirable suburb."

The townhouse design features high ceilings and large windows to maximise natural light, starting at $550,000.

Havenwood is close to parkland reserves, schools, Westfield Chermside, the Prince Charles hospital precinct and the Australia Trade Coast precinct.

Mosaic purchased the site earlier this year and was granted development approval in March. It follows the completion of three other projects at Indooroopilly, Alderley and Holland Park.

All three sold out ahead of completion and contributed to the company doubling its workbook to more than $100 million for the 2016 financial year.
