QUINN & SCATTINI NEW PRACTICE AREA

QUINN & Scattini has announced in addition to offering corporate clients specialist services in civil litigation, business and criminal law, it has launched a dedicated Corporate & White Collar Crime section to its practice for businesses and executives.  

New staff

Amanda Skene started with Quinn & Scattini in November, bringing 15 years of experience in property law. Her main areas of expertise include Development Work, Off the Plan Contracts, Contract drafting, Commercial Contracts, Refinances and A-Z Conveyancing. Amanda completed her Bachelor of Laws this year and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2014.

Loren Fabian has recently joined theCriminal Law Team and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a Solicitor. Loren graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, as well as a completing a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Loren brings over two years of experience in Criminal and Property Law. 

Matthew Corry was recently admitted as a solicitor and is practising exclusively in Succession Law at Quinn & Scattini Lawyers in the Wills & Estates Team.  He handles Wills & Estates as well as Deceased Estate Disputes under the guidance of Russell Leneham who is a director, team leader and Accredited Specialist (Succession Law).  Matthew is a former Bond University graduate having completed a Jurist Doctor with them. 

Alice Skalski recently joined the Property and Business Law Team at Quinn & Scattini Lawyers.  She has extensive experience having acted for a variety of clients including tenants, landlords, private investors, small-medium enterprises (SMEs), body corporates and property developers, in a variety of complex commercial and property transactions.

New promotions

Clark Saint was promoted to Senior Associate at Quinn & Scattini Lawyers.  He has been with Q&S for a considerable number of years and is in the Wills & Estates Team.  He currently focusses mainly on estate litigation involving claims for further provision from an estate and challenging the validity of wills.

Kym-Marie Bush is now a Senior Associate with Quinn & Scattini Lawyers.  During her 20 years of admission, Kym-Marie has advised on and negotiated property settlements covering all aspects from the family home to trusts and company structures holding significant assets as well as looking after children's matters, including exposure to a Hague convention matter, recovery and location of children and grandparents applications. Kym-Marie has been appointed as an Independent Children's Lawyer for some time and regularly appears in court for all aspects of family law practice.

Kathy Fairweather was recently promoted to Associate at Quinn & Scattini Lawyers.  She has been a solicitor since 1993.  After being admitted as a solicitor, she worked in general practice.  Prior to joining Quinn & Scattini she served in one of Australia's leading trustee companies, specialising in Wills and Estates.

Taryn Hokin

Candice Heisler was recently promoted to Associate at Quinn & Scattini Lawyers.  Candice commenced employment with Quinn & Scattini Lawyers in 2011 practicing in the Personal Injuries Team.  She is particularly passionate about supporting the rights of injured persons and promoting justice through the compensation pathway.

Harry Jordaan recently became an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation QLD, with a particular emphasis on insurance law. He also recently celebrated his two year anniversary at Quinn & Scattini.
