SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS PARK FOR STOCKLAND
STOCKLAND is set to unveil a host of innovative sustainability measures at its new
North Lakes Business Park in the heart of Brisbane’s northern growth corridor.
The business park is one of the most significant industrial developments in south-east Queensland with 85ha located within the master-planned project.
One major initiative is the creation of sustainability design guidelines that encourages developers, owners and tenants in North Lakes Business Park to pursue the integration of sustainability initiatives into the design of buildings within the estate.
North Lakes Business Park’s first occupant, Snowdonia Air-conditioning Services, has opened its doors for business with a new 1421sq m headquarters, featuring a warehouse, service area and display showroom.
Snowdonia has strongly embraced the sustainable theme of the business park with the inclusion of several sustainability elements, including solar hot water, energy efficient lighting, a variable refrigerant flow air-conditioning plant, and an underground rainwater tank.
Stockland will be introducing further sustainable practices to the park over the next few weeks. This includes offering financial incentives to developers within the business park who extend their sites to an advanced level of sustainability.
North Lakes Business Park is the largest industrial sub-division project Stockland has undertaken and is expected to provide up to 5000 jobs for the greater northern Brisbane region.
It is adjacent to the Bruce Highway, only 30 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, 20 minutes from the airport, and 40 minutes from the Sunshine Coast.
Lot sizes from around 1,278 sq m to 6ha with a limited number of lots still remaining in stage one.
