CONSTRUCTION company ADCO has signed a 10-year lease on two top level floors at 7 Bay Street Southport.
The prestige seven-level office designed and constructed by ADCO has been granted a Green Star rating.
With 2500sqm of floor space, 7 Bay Street’s design incorporates energy efficient plant and equipment, double glazed glass windows, waste management initiatives, rainwater harvesting and recycling and an integrated building management system monitoring building resource use.
ADCO commercial manager Cameron McBurnie, says the boutique building is the only green star-rated office building in the Southport CBD.
“The building appeals to us as it is reflective of our own business values – it’s a premium quality product and committed to environmental standards and sustainable building practices,” he says.
“7 Bay Street has been given a four-star rating (signifying ‘best practice’) for its environmentally sustainable design and construction by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
“This building will provide tenants with a healthy working environment and a water and energy efficient workplace.”
ADCO has annual revenues of $500 million and more than 350 employees, with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle and now the Gold Coast. ADCO is associated with Gold Coast business identities Robert Hill and Judith Brinsmead.
The Gold Coast offices will be home to around 20 ADCO staff who have recently overseen projects including the Low Cost Carrier Terminal at Gold Coast Airport, Robina Town Centre, several Bond University buildings and the redevelopment of Pindara Hospital.
