AUSTRALIA’S largest homemaker and renovation supplies auction house has launched a new superstore on the Gold Coast.
AuctionsRus has secured a five-year lease on 1500 sqm of warehouse space on a 3000 sqm block at Brisbane Rd, Labrador.
Negotiated by John Corby of Corby International, the annual rate of the deal has not been disclosed, but market indicators show similar product in the area rents annually for between $180 sqm and $250 sqm.
AuctionsRus managing director Ken Gargan, says the expansion to the Gold Coast would benefit bargain hunters.
“This is great news for our customers and for us as a company,” says Gargan.
“We plan to revolutionise shopping for the mums and dads out there by offering brand new merchandise at a fraction of the price of that offered by regular retail chains. No longer do homeowners need to pay an arm and a leg to renovate or build the house of their dreams.”
