BEAUMONT TILES ACQUIRES WAREHOUSE AS PART OF GROWTH STRATEGY

A WAREHOUSE the size of two rugby fields will house Beaumont Tiles' distribution centre in the Brisbane suburb of Rochedale.

The 12,500sqm centre is part of the tile retailer's aggressive growth strategy and part of a $10 million plus investment in Queensland.

Beaumont Tiles will also launch the first of its concept stores, The Beaumont Studio, in Fortitude Valley in early 2016.

The distribution centre will sit on a major north-south arterial with easy access to the western corridor via Logan motorway and will service all of Queensland and Northern NSW.

Managing director Bob Beaumont says the state of the art warehouse is being constructed for efficiency, safety and speed.

"Our distribution strategy is focused on getting the best possible product to the customer in a way that suits them no matter who that customer is," says Beaumont.

"Our brand and product mix has certainly evolved and so has the Australian appetite for designer looks and trends.

"We've seen innovations in tile manufacturing that has meant we can offer an incredibly diverse range at prices even for the more premium product that are affordable."

Beaumont says it's an exciting time for the company as it marks its formal entry into the high design market.

The warehouse and concept stores are set to open in early 2016.
