BRISBANE’S young talent will be unveiled and celebrated at the city’s 2014 Young Entrepreneur Awards on Friday November 21.
Generating more than $260 million in combined annual revenue, all finalists have made a significant mark on the Brisbane economy and showcase determination and enthusiasm in their respective fields.
An initiative of Business News Australia, the night recognises home-grown talent and provides inspiration for other young Brisbane business owners.
“Brisbane has a voluminous talent pool of innovative business leaders and it is great to recognise young, up and coming talent,” says managing director of Business News Australia, Camilla Jansen.
“There is no other event dedicated to recognising young entrepreneurs however we believe it is essential to celebrate the success of those turning their bright ideas into a reality.
“If you have entrepreneurial spirit and want to rub shoulders with the brightest business minds in the city then I encourage you to attend the evening and be inspired by some of the achievements of these young professionals.”
The night will highlight Brisbane’s most influential under 40-year-olds and it is expected more than 200 business-minded men and women will converge at Customs House to witness who will take out the top title – the 2014 Brisbane Young Entrepreneur of the Year – as well category winners that are excelling across diverse industries.
Among the list of finalists is Phillip Di Bella (Di Bella Coffee), Ben Shipley (Comscentre), Nic Blair (Search Factory and Brus Media), Sarah Timmerman (Beginning Boutique), Clarissa Rayward (Brisbane Family Law Centre), Alice and Justin Hagen (Calibre Real Estate) and Llew Jury (Reload Media).
Last year’s winners were Good Price Pharmacy founders Anthony Yap and Hahn Lu.
