THE Bruce Lynton Charity ball has reached a milestone this year, clocking up $1.5 million in funds raised for worthy causes over the past 14 years.
This year, the ball raised $118,000 for Cancer Council Queensland, Guide Dogs Queensland, Surf Life Saving, Youngcare and this year's new beneficiary, Men of Business.
“The Bruce Lynton Charity Ball receives incredible support from both local and interstate businesses through the donation of Silent and Grand Auction items for which we cannot thank them enough,” says Beric Lynton, dealer principal of the Bruce Lynton Prestige Automotive Group.
"This year we managed to secure 12 Grand Auction items, equal to or over the value of $7500 each, as well as a record 213 Silent Auction items.
“The support from the local community has been absolutely overwhelming."
The Bruce Lynton Charity Ball is held in May each year, and this year marked another milestone for the Bruce Lynton Group which celebrates its 40th year in business.
This year’s ball, which was hosted by Channel Nine Gold Coast News presenters Bruce Paige and Melissa Downes, was headlined by The Choirboys and supported by The Accidents.
