RADISSON Resort Gold Coast showcased the top Gold Coast destinations and the resort’s award winning meeting, events, and business facilities to leading professional conference organisers (PCOs) recently. The event gave organisers a taste of everything the Radisson has to offer with an extensive itinerary.
Radisson director of sales and marketing Suzie Jones says the event was educational and entertaining.
“Concierge collected our PCO guests from Coolangatta Airport on Friday afternoon,” she says.
“They had time to check in and change before joining Radisson staff for a progressive dinner.
“The dinner began with drinks and canapés on the Club Terrace. Each course was served in a different location. This gave the PCOs first hand experience of the resort’s range of meeting and event rooms as well as the quality of the cuisine,” says Jones.
“The Red Room featured a winter theme complete with an open fireplace created with special computer effects. The high spot was the surf to the Hinterland theme created in and around the ballroom. Guests walked into a rainforest table setting and enjoyed beach views from their seats. It was magical,” says Jones.
Guests were treated to breakfast at Q1 on the Saturday and practised their swing on the driving course. The afternoon was spent completing a treasure hunt that demonstrated the team work initiatives the large area allows to be completed.
Jones says one of the highlights of the PCO famil was the Saturday night dinner. “We dined in style at SeaWorld’s Shark Bay, it was perfect,” she says. “PCOs were able to relax on Sunday morning with breakfast in bed and massages at Future Therapy Day Spa.
“Radisson Resort’s meetings and event team are proud to showcase the resort’s facilities and the best of the Gold Coast’s destinations. We all recognise tough economic times call for an innovative approach. This region’s leaders pulled together to promote the entire destination. It as an excellent example of team work,” says Jones.
