ENTREPRENEURIAL GROOVES

GAS Grooves delivers everything from sax riffs to flute solos and have quickly evolved from the living room to the stage.

One such stage will be Jupiters Casinos’, where the band will be taking to on October 24 for the 2014 Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur Awards.

Born and bred Gold Coaster and GAS Grooves manager and guitarist Tony Niotakis (pictured left) says the trio is excited to be playing at the event and that the band identifies with the audience.

“We are honoured to have been selected and grateful for the opportunity to entertain the Gold Coast’s best and brightest,” says Niotakis.

“We offer something different, through innovative and exciting sounds, so we definitely have a connection with the audience.

“What drives us is to keep growing our brand and broaden the areas where we work, same as the audience.”

Niotakis says this is the time to be an entrepreneur and the Gold Coast is an ideal place to be one.

“I don’t know what it is – maybe something in the sea breeze – but the Gold Coast is definitely filled with go-getters not afraid to pursue their ideas and dreams,” says Niotakis.

“The Gold Coast has a positive business environment with encouragement from the state government and educational institutions bridging between the public and the private sector making it easier to progress ideas.

“Also, the Gold Coast has natural factors working in its favour, making it a unique and viable area for entrepreneurs.”

Niotakis says youth entrepreneurship is one of the most important parts of Australian culture.

“Young entrepreneurs probably have one of the most important roles on the Gold Coast and the rest of Australia by boosting the economy, creating jobs and putting ideas into reality,” says Niotakis.

The rising stars played at Riverfire late last month, and are regulars at Cloudland in Brisbane.

Niotakis says the band has even greater things planned for 2015.

“We can promise some big surprises and exciting things happening for GAS in 2015, but will reveal nothing more other than that we will be playing alongside rock royalty,” says Niotakis.
