FORMER QLS PRESIDENT WINS PRESTIGIOUS LEADERSHIP AWARD

FORMER president of the Queensland Law Society (QLS) Annette Bradfield (pictured left) has won the first Award for Excellence in Leadership presented by the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland (WLAQ).

WLAQ president Kelly McIntyre (pictured right) says Bradfield is a highly deserving recipient of the newly created award which has been designed to honour women who display exceptional leadership in the legal realm.

“We were proud to have Annette leading the profession in 2013 and decided to tangibly recognise her leadership with this award,” says McIntyre.

“The [WLAQ] looks forward to celebrating future female legal profession leaders of Annette’s calibre through this prestigious award.”

Current president of the QLS Ian Brown has thanked the WLAQ for honouring Bradfield and says it is wonderful for the accolade to have been created with Annette in mind.

“We thank the [WLAQ] for recognising Annette’s major contributions to the profession, and we’re pleased that outstanding female leaders in the profession will be recognised through this award in subsequent years,” says Brown.
