FRONTIER TOURING SCOOPS TOP SPOT

FRONTIER Touring has topped US publication Billboard's list as the number one independent concert promoter in the world.

The Melbourne-based promoter ranked third overall with the highest grossing Boxscore, after global organisations Live Nation and AEG Live.

Frontier is the leading Australasian promoter, followed by Dainty Group in seventh place.

The listing comes after a massive year for the group, with tours including Foo Fighters, Eagles, Drake, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Billy Idol and Chet Faker.

Frontier Touring managing director Michael Gudinski says this year has been particularly busy for the team.

"2014 was a huge year for Frontier but 2015 has set the bar even higher," Gudinski says.

"You're only as good as the artists you work with and we're honoured to have such amazing talent choose to tour Australia and New Zealand as part of the Frontier family.

"It can be tough being an independent promoter in a fiercely competitive and increasingly globalised business, but we're incredibly proud of our ability to have more than held our own without compromising on the style and class we're famous for.

"We're looking forward to blowing everyone out of the water again at the end of the year."

Frontier has lined up a number of major stadium tours for the remainder of the year, including Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rise Against, Sam Smith, Passion Pit and Cold Chisel.
