Green it to hit coast

The Green IT Special Interest Group works with ICT Professionals and local businesses to address today’s sustainability challenges and identify solutions for a better tomorrow. This southeast Queensland ACS event consists of three seminars designed to introduce and build awareness of what is ‘Green IT’ is and its impacts on businesses.

Following the launch event, two more seminars will take place in June. The first of these will take place on June 4 at Griffith University. The seminar will discuss the importance of sustainable technologies and its implications to business. It is the seminar’s objective to provide a diverse range of information on ‘Green IT’ from different sources. The keynote speaker will be presented by Dr Paul Campbell and aims to provide real life examples of sustainable technology in action.

The next seminar, to be held on June 18 at TAFE Southport will feature Gavin Keeley who will speak on the changing attitude towards sustainable technologies and business.
