KENNEDY SHINES AS BARRY NILSSON SCOOPS ACCOLADES

BRISBANE based law firm, Barry Nilsson has gained recognition as 18 of its lawyers have been recognised in the 2017 Best Lawyers in Australia listing, a peer reviewed system recognising excellence in the legal profession.

Insurance and health, property, family law and commercial law were all categories in which lawyers from Barry Nilsson's were selected by their peers for inclusion in this year's listing.

Adding to the firm's success in the Best Lawyers listing, partner Rhett Kennedy was named lawyer of the year for insurance law.

Managing partner, Don Leembruggen said the recognition is great for Rhett's distinguished career.

"Best Lawyers has been the gold standard of excellence in the legal profession," says Leembruggen.

"Being named Lawyer of the Year is great recognition for Rhett's career, which now spans over 30 years.

"The award attests the brilliance that Rhett brings to the legal profession, highlighting his first-class abilities in communication, legal intelligence, teamwork, composure and work ethic," he says.

Kennedy was also listed in the 2015 and 2016 Doyle's Guide editions as one of the state's pre-eminent professional indemnity lawyers, and as a pre-eminent public liability lawyer in 2016.
