Marina Mirage to celebrate

MARINA Mirage will celebrate in style with a free launch party on September 17.

The completed rejuvenation includes a host of new stores, improved amenities, increased parking and a sleek contemporary style.

The party will kick off at 6pm, with live fashion parades on the hour showcasing 21 years of fashion, live music throughout the centre, free champagne, cocktails and canapés and a bounty of prizes to win.

Stores will be open for the first time on a Thursday night and will offer discounts, prizes and special offers for all shoppers to celebrate the centre’s official launch.

Ristorante Fellini staff will be dressed to impress now that internationally-renowned fashion designer Daniel Lightfoot has spiced up their uniforms.

Lightfoot is well-known for his elegant corporate wear after crafting a career in design more than 20 years ago. He has received many accolades for his work and is a revered leader among the Australian fashion cognoscenti.

He says the influence and inspiration for the Fellini uniforms came from the rich culture and aesthetic of the restaurant.

“After an initial meeting with Tony (Percuoco) at the restaurant, I was taken by the feature wall in the restaurant which is covered in beautiful metallic tiles. I wanted to take that element of the restaurant and reflect it in the uniforms,” says Lightfoot.

“The design is all black because I feel black says a lot but doesn’t at the same time. The restaurant staff should blend in and become a part of the restaurant, black is very slick and reflects the café society look.”

Tony Percuoco, a partner at Fellini, says the Daniel Lightfoot choice to design the new uniforms was an easy one.

“Daniel Lightfoot is the first and foremost in the corporate wear design industry, his career spanning 20 years is a testament to his dedication to designing functional corporate wear,” he says.

“We are very happy with the outcome of the uniforms designed by Daniel. His designs are clean and functional while still remaining elegant and stylish. Daniel has captured the essence of Ristorante Fellini and reflected it into the uniform.”
