NUTRITION BRAND AMAZONIA SET TO MAKE WAVES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PRO SURFER SALLY FITZGIBBONS

SURFING legend Sally Fitzgibbons has been named global brand ambassador for certified organic supplement company Amazonia on a two-year contract.

Amazonia is responsible for establishing the acai superfood trend in Australia and its supplement range now includes products such as raw nutrition packs and organic protein powders.

The health-conscious Sally Fitzgibbons says her outlook on nutrition and healthy living is aligned with the Amazonia brand, a Gold Coast-based company founded by Dwayne Martens.

"I'm stoked to be part of the Amazonia family and to be in a position where I can emphasise the importance of eating well, supplementing with the right nutritional products and allowing your body to glow, from the inside out," she says.

"I'm stoked be a voice for such an incredible company who values the importance of nutrition just like I do."

Amazonia's National Marketing Manager, Andy McCutcheon says the promotion of their brand by an athlete with Sally's passion for healthy living will be an effective business move for the company.

"She is a world-class athlete at the top of her game and both her personal and professional goals are very much aligned with Amazonia.

"Her shared personal commitment to clean eating, functional nutrition and optimal health are hallmarks of her personal and professional life, just as they are for Amazonia as a business."

Sally is the founder of her own foundation which educates young people about the importance of healthy living and she has also developed a fitness guide, called 'The 12 week All Australian Beach Body (AABB) Program'.
