SOHO concept for Varsity Lakes

Demand leads to purpose-built home and office units

RESPONDING to the demand for home office solutions, Delfin Lend Lease has released its new SOHO range at Varsity Lakes, located in the bustling Market Square - a premier commercial address in the booming Varsity Central business and innovation precinct.

Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show nearly one in 20 people work from home these days, making the Small Office/Home Office concept well suited to the market.

Delfin SOHO is characterised by a purpose-built home and office with the benefits of a commercial address fronting Market Square and a stylish attractive home in the one location.

Upon completion, Varsity Lakes will comprise 3000 homes, more than 343 hectares and up to 150,000sqm of commercial space in town centre Varsity Central. It will become home to 7800 residents and 4500 employees.

Varsity Lakes senior project director Carl Bruhn says SOHOs will add to the range of business options for small to large businesses in Varsity Central - including land, strata spaces and large commercial leases or purpose-built buildings.

"The Delfin SOHOs have an intelligent design which allows direct access to your ground-floor office space and a built-in powder room," he says.

"Featuring up to three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the Delfin SOHOs include data cabling to enable connection to the high-speed fibre network installed in Varsity Central."

Varsity Lakes was named Queensland's Best Address at the 2006 Urban Development Institute of Australia Suncorp Queensland Awards for Excellence.
