SPEEDWELL ACQUIRES AUDIO VISUAL COMPANY

DIGITAL agency Speedwell has acquired post production agency Big Bridge.

The Brisbane based agencies will integrate under the Speedwell brand and premises at Fortitude Valley.

Big Bridge’s Gayle Marshall and her core team will join Speedwell to assist in the consolidation of the two businesses.

Speedwell CEO Bruce Young (pictured) says the increasing use of video online makes this a strategic acquisition.

“The acquisition gives Big Bridge’s clients access to Speedwell’s larger development team and diverse technical offering while providing our existing clients with the broader AV offering,” says Young.

Speedwell director Brett Wiskar is a former finalist in the Brisbane Business News Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. It specialises in mobile development and back office solutions, boasting clients including Dominos, Suncorp Group, Allianz GA and Dreamworld.

The company turned over $5.24 million last year, boasting 87.1 per cent growth.

Big Bridge has its own strong client list, including Personal Plates Queensland, QUT and CitySmart.

“This is our first acquisition following a long period of organic growth and provides a great opportunity to grow Speedwell’s brand and market share. This is the only acquisition we have pursued, however we are not ruling out further opportunities.”

Speedwell secured Tourism Events Queensland, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Mantra Group and Di Bella Coffee as clients in the past 12 months.
