SWEEPING UP SALES AT THE YARDS

SWEEPING UP SALES AT THE YARDS

MORE than half of Brisbane Showgrounds South Yard tower apartments have sold off the plan in less than four hours.

The Yards, a Lend Lease (ASX: LLC) project, encompasses 401 apartments across two towers North Yard and South Yard (pictured) and 11 boutique terraces.

Of these apartments, 105 of 182 South Tower residences sold in a matter of hours, paralleling the Brisbane record-breaking reception of North Yard apartments in September, when 160 of 208 apartments sold in four hours.

CEO of Lend Lease's Property division in Australia, Tarun Gupta, says there is a strong appetite for the overhauled King Street precinct.

"Being able to deliver quality amenity through the new, vibrant King Street will be one of the most exciting elements of the transformation of Brisbane Showgrounds  creating a great place to live both by day and by night.

"The Yards on King Street expresses our uncompromising attitude towards quality, endurance and responsive design."

The Yards, designed by Hayball, will feature a 2,500sqm podium retreat with more than 20 wellness and entertainment hubs.

They will front King Street, which will include a 1,200sqm supermarket and up to 40 cafes, bars and street dining options, alongside fresh food providores.

Prices ranged between $385,000 for a one bedroom apartment and $525,000 for a two bedroom and two bathroom apartment.

Remaining apartments at The Yards start from $410,000.
