THE developer behind the $250 million Genesis project at Coomera has recovered 75 per cent of its construction materials.
Genesis project manager Stephen Harrison, says the result is another milestone for the development, which has sold more than $20 million of product this year and will be home to more than 2500 residents.
“The materials we send away in skip bins from our sites include bricks and pavers, concrete, earth and soil, glass and plastic. With this in mind, we have made a decision to increase our target to 90 per cent in the next 12 months,” says Harrison.
“We have the ability to move remaining materials from one house over to the next house to minimise our wastage and this will further enhance the level of recycling we achieve compared to traditional builders.”
