Launched last night, LeadX featured eight high-profile women speaking for 12 minutes each on transformative ideas, techniques and skills and equipped attendees with the knowledge needed to increase economic and personal growth.
Speakers included New York Times bestselling author of "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff", Krisitne Carlson; Megan Houghton, CEO of CitySmart and sustainability expert; and Kim Serafini, Director of Mind Power Technology.Sonia McDonald, founder of LeadershipHQ and one of the woman behind the event, also presented on her unexpected journey which saw the transformation of a blog to a thriving business.
"If I can do it, you can absolutely do it," she says."I loved how I empowered and inspired everyone in the room to find their passion, put their hand up and say 'yes' to opportunities, and open themselves up for possibilities."
Serafini, a Brisbane based entrepreneur succeeding globally with her mindfulness app says the event was a great networking opportunity and learning experience for female business leaders."Brisbane has so many examples of innovative female leaders who have contributed greatly to the productivity and profitability of businesses, the city, state and their own families," she says.
"Women's innate ability to juggle multiple roles gives them the skills, with the right focus and environment, to foster personal success at new levels."LeadX is both a celebration and a launching pad for new growth, innovation and leadership by women."
