SILVER Chef (ASX: SIV) has announced that celebrity chef Matt Sinclair will become the online face of the company as its new social media ambassador.
As part of his new role, the runner-up of Master Chef season 8 will launch a video series following his journey to becoming a hospitality business owner and beyond.
Sinclair says he is looking forward to working with the culinary equipment provider and sharing his story with a view to motivating other aspiring cooks.
"I'm really excited to be working with Silver Chef they've been helping me now since September 2016 so I know first-hand just how much they assist you in every step of setting up your business," says Sinclair.
"I've always said that you can either build your own dreams or be hired by someone else to build theirs, so hopefully through working with Silver Chef I can encourage aspiring business owners to take the chance."
Before taking on the ambassador's title, Sinclair was a Silver Chef customer for his own food truck venture Ten Piece Cutlery.
Silver Chef CEO Damien Guivarra says having Sinclair on board is a coup for the brand as it looks to market its services to other young and emerging hospitality owners.
"We identified Matt as someone who aligns closely to the Silver Chef brand, due to his profile in hospitality as well as his customer journey, having recently opened his first business and now about to venture into his second," says Guivarra.
"Matt will be able to share an invaluable insight with our audience, particularly when it comes to getting their hospitality business off the ground and sharing the secrets of what not to do, which will enable us to help similar businesses succeed."
