With a wealth of data at their fingertips, LinkedIn has released its list of "the most sought after startups in Australia", and it's certainly a prestigious list.
To be eligible for for the list, compnaies must be seven years old or younger, have at least 50 employees, and be privately held and headquatered in Australia.
Creative platform Canva topped LinkedIn's list; unsurprising considering its newly acquired "unicorn" status after it trotted past the $1 billion valuation mark.
The platform churns out 13 designs per second, is used in 190 countries, and has 10 million users; numbers any tech startup would die for.
Ruining a top 5 exclusively from Sydney is Escient, an Adelaide based startup in the management and consulting industry.
Viral mattress statup Koala pushed its way into the fourth position thanks to its cheeky advertising and relaxed approach to the customer experience.
Airtaskter rounds out the top 5 on LinkedIn's list. The digital disruptor was founded in 2012, and has since completed tasks to the value of $215 million.
