CBDRobina's medical precinct continues growth with healthy $2.9m sale

CBDRobina's medical precinct continues growth with healthy $2.9m sale

M-Space QLD has purchased a 2,621sqm site from Robina Group with plans to deliver a new office and medical facility in CBDRobina.

The building, to be called Vicinity Robina, is due to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.

Located at 18 Campus Crescent, the site will offer 3,037sqm of net lettable area over three floors with internal lift access and 106 onsite car parks and a basement.

M-Space QLD's development manager, Hamish Jackson, says the site will continue to transform CBDRobina into a hub of medical activity.

"The site was appealing because it is surrounded by Robina Public Hospital, Robina Private Hospital, and a variety of specialist medical amenities, so it's really an ideal fit," says Jackson.

"Plans are for this to be a very versatile strata space and the building will have varied uses with space for showrooms and large or small offices."

"We already had a very strong level of interest from owner-occupiers of various sizes from 65sqm offices to 1200sqm users who would take up an entire floor."

Robina Group's development manager Darrell Irwin says CBDRobina has now established itself as a medical and health epicentre on the Gold Coast.

"The sale is yet another piece in the Robina masterplan adding to the CBDRobina health and medical precinct," says Irwin.

"The site is adjacent to Queensland Health's Robina Health Precinct and Primary Health Care recently opened its flagship multi-disciplinary Primary Medical Centre, just 100 meters away."

However, Irwin says space in the area is quickly becoming rare, with every sale making the supply of land harder to get.

"With recent sales in the area to a number of significant property developers, vacant and development-ready land in CBDRobina is becoming scarce," says Irwin.
