SINORBIS ON TRACK TO PROMOTE AUSTRALIAN PRODUCTS IN CHINA
AFTER an oversubscribed bidding round, digital marketing technology start-up Sinorbis is on track to deploy their new platform to help Australian companies market their products to Chinese consumers.

The digital marketing platform claims it will assist Australian and international companies to more effectively market their products to Chinese digital consumers who already spend $4.3 trillion online each year.

Sinorbis raised $2.3 million in an oversubscribed bidding round led by the team behind Executive Channel Holdings (ECH).

Sinorbis CEO and co-founder, Nicolas Chu, says the company's platform will solve some of the difficulties that businesses have with breaking into the Chinese digital market.

"Australian companies have traditionally struggled to market their goods directly to Chinese digital consumers," says Chu.

"Fortunately, with our new platform, Australian companies and their marketing agencies will be able to directly market to Chinese digital consumers, much like they're already able to do in the West.

"Our technology will help better target this spend and be the catalyst to grow this market to nearly $30 billion annually in the next decade."

Clients can subscribe to a flat monthly fee if they just want to use the platform to buy and analyse the performance of their ads on Chinese sites.

For an additional fee, Clients can use Sinorbis like a full-service marketing agency.

In addition to the fundraising, Sinorbis also announced a number of advisory board appointments including Ian Gardiner, head of startup ecosystem at Amazon Web services, and Bruce Fink, principal of privately-held Bickham Court Group of Companies and executive chair of ECH.

Chu says obtaining the services of Amazon's Ian Gardiner is a major coup for Sinorbis.

"I am very excited to be able to formalise our relationship with Ian, an incredibly successful startup founder in his own right and an advocate for the start-up ecosystem in Australia."

At the conclusion of this round, investment to date in the pre-Series-A digital marketing technology start-up has reached $3.9 milloin and the consulting arm of Sinorbis has recently signed a number of high-profile clients including BridgeClimb Sydney, Bridestow Lavender Farm, A'Kin and University of Western Sydney.
