SUPERLOOP (ASX: SLC), Brisbane's newest telecommunications infrastructure provider, has geared up and announced its Sydney network is now operational.
After announcing its Brisbane and Melbourne network completions in July, Superloop confirmed its Sydney network is operational with all key sites connected with services handed over to cornerstone customers.
The business says there's a small blockage affecting the final 1km move of fibre optic cable needed to complete the two-site path on the Sydney network, though this is expected to be resolved this month.
CEO of Superloop Daniel Abraham says he's satisfied with Superloop's progress on its Singapore and Australian network rollout.
"I am proud of the team as well as our partners who have worked well together to build Superloop's core networks," says Abraham.
As such, as of September 30, Superloop has installed a total of 117km of fibre optic cable, which includes the 110km of cable initially outlaid in Singapore.
This is all since listing on the ASX in early June.
